Charter of Guilliam Marscal, i.e., William [AD 1189 - 1219], Marshall, Earl of Pembroke, notifying that he has taken the Abbey of Margam, the monks, conversi, the men, and all the property of the same, under his protection, to be maintained by his bailiffs, as are his lordships; and that the Abbey is to be free of toll throughout all his boroughs in Wales and Ireland, in respect of things bought or sold for its own uses, and of portage and passage.
